Know your options

Tank parts, base seals and drain problems

A toilet that runs, rocks or backs up can have very different faults. We check where the water is going, how the fixture is secured and whether nearby drains are affected. A sound toilet may only need a serviceable part; a damaged fixture or flange requires another approach.

Does water around the base mean the toilet must be replaced?

Not necessarily. A supply connection, tank seal or base seal may be responsible. The source needs to be identified, along with any flange or floor damage, before choosing a repair.
