A shower remodel can involve a plumber, tile installer and other trades. Establish who is responsible for the enclosure, waterproofing and finished surfaces. Share the selected valve and trim early so the rough-in matches the products that will be installed.

Can you install a shower without remodeling the whole bathroom?

Sometimes. The existing layout, valve compatibility and access determine how much work is needed. A fixture change can be limited in scope, while moving the drain or replacing a concealed valve can require opening finishes.
