Plan the plumbing before the finishes
A new home, addition or commercial build needs more than a list of fixtures. The plumbing plan has to fit the building layout, the equipment and the construction sequence. Bring those decisions into the conversation early with your new construction plumber.
For a Santa Rosa or North Bay project, share the current drawings and explain who is coordinating the work. Mark any fixture locations or equipment selections that are still undecided. A late change to a shower, laundry area or kitchen can affect piping that has already been installed.
Define what the plumbing proposal includes
Ask which supply lines, drains, valves and final connections are included. Clarify who supplies the fixtures and who handles related electrical work, wall openings, waterproofing and surface restoration. Those responsibilities should be understood before work starts.
Our pipe installation service includes planning around the proposed route and connections. Equipment details matter too: a water heater or shower valve should be reviewed before the surrounding space is closed up.
Coordinate rough-in and final connections
Rough-in prepares piping while the structure is accessible. Final connections happen around the finished fixtures and equipment. Discuss both stages with the project team, including access for required inspections and the timing of other trades.
Keep current product specifications available. A shower installation, for example, depends on the selected valve, trim and drain arrangement. Matching those parts early is easier than changing concealed piping later.
Leave room for future service
Ask how shutoff valves, water heaters and other serviceable components will be reached after the project is finished. Attractive cabinets and finished walls still need to allow the access the plumbing requires.
